KidLife Nursery

(6 weeks–3 years)

During the service

For kids too young to sit through the service or a children's lesson. Caregivers read books, provide cheerios, sing to, play with, and hold babies and toddlers so parents can focus on the service. The nursery includes a separate room with curtains and a live feed to the service for nursing mothers and those who want a quiet space for their children. To locate the nursery, follow the signs from the back of the sanctuary.

KidLife Worship

(3 years-2nd grade)

During the service

For kids who are potty trained and can participate in a Bible lesson. Leaders join children in songs of worship, read a Bible story, provide a snack, and engage kids in conversation about where we see the Gospel in the Bible story.

Kids can either go straight to KidLife Worship, or they may begin the service with you, then join the group after a few songs in the sanctuary.

The 2nd Sunday of each month, kids in grades K–2 will attend the service with their parents. KidLife Worship will not be available. For kids staying in the service, children's bulletins and quiet activities are available along with clipboards and crayons. We welcome the rustle of young ones among us; your children are welcome whether they are used to sitting quietly or not. The nursery will still be available! If you have a child age 5 or younger who would rather not sit through the service they are welcome to come to nursery for a story and play.

KidLife Club

Starts 9/14

(preschool-5th grade)

Sundays 5-7pm

(during Focal Point)

Families enjoy dinner together and a time of fellowship ending in worship songs. Kids are dismissed with adult leaders to gather in small groups based on age for a Bible lesson, discussion, craft, and prayer. All groups of kids end the evening together with a snack and time to play in the gym, where parents can collect them when their own lesson time is done.

Our Children's Ministry volunteers are required to have a background check, reference check, and to complete a Child Abuse Prevention training before they are allowed to serve in the nursery or classrooms, and they are re-checked every two years after that. We want to be sure we are providing the safest care possible for your child! Please contact Emily Cutter at rrccm@rockfordrc.org with questions or to volunteer.

Informed Consent Form – This form only needs to be filled out once per family per year. Please include all children who will be participating in children’s or youth activities (Youth Group, Sunday School, Nursery, KidLife Club, VBS, etc.).
